Ever since our party the MMD lost elections in 2011, we have passed through a cocktail of trying moments. In 2012, when Mr Rupiah Banda resigned as party president, we had an Extra-Ordinary Convention to elect a new President.

Acting spokesperson Reuben Sambo says that the expulsion of Lunte Member of Parliament Felix Mutati from the party is final and nothing can save him. This is because the decision was made at a legally constituted extra-ordinary National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting and the NEC is the highest party organ between conventions.
